Content Paradise are giving away eight free DAZ/Poser animals per week over the summer (scroll down their page). Current freebies include the Octopus, a young deer, and a donkey with a rather expressive face.
They’re rigged but unfortunately they don’t come with motions. Those with the DAZ Game Kit / 3DXchange 4 Pro combo can of course decimate the higher-poly animals, and then convert them to an animatable FBX for use in iClone.
“Evil runs and walks”, new features forthcoming in the next soon-to-be-released Muvizu beta…
I think we also get a glimpse of the new animal costumes at the end.
There’s a new issue of the free Perspective : journal of the Art Directors Guild. In this issue:
* The making of Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” concerts in London: projecting actors, dancers, zombies, and CG scenery — all in stereo 3D — onto a 100-foot by 35-foot LED screen, the biggest ever built at the time.
* Developing the concept art for immense sets used in the film of the story of Hypatia, the last philosopher of the great Library of Alexandria.
