Google SketchUp for Game Design

An interesting looking new paperback from Pakt, Google SketchUp for Game Design: Beginner’s Guide. It’s aimed at the indie game-designer, but the focus is on building low-poly assets with a free tool. Which means it might interest iCloners who have the need for a special custom scene which they can’t buy “off the shelf” or rip from game assets.

  1. Say what you want about 3DXchange, but if you mix it with SketchUp you get a cheap OBJ pipeline for Sketchup. Sketchup’s official OBJ exporter is only available in the Pro version, and that costs a lot…

Cheers, I just bought this book.
