World’s largest animated painting goes on show in Singapore

The world’s largest digitally animated painting is on show in Singapore. The ancient scroll-painting masterpiece “Qing Ming Shang He Tu” has been converted into a giant animated screen replica that runs for 420ft x 21ft. The original 11th Century painting shows an immense panorama of life and trade along the banks of a river, leading from the countryside into the city, and features 1,068 characters.

Animation was by China-based Crystal CG in partnership with London-based Imagineear.
