Quick test of Lumion 2.1 free

My copy of Lumion Free has finally completed download, and I’ve been able to play with it a little. Import of OBJs, with textures, works fine. Such objects can be scaled and easily positioned after import. Ramping up image quality to the highest level didn’t slow down the real-time rendering. Many of the slight jaggy edges vanish when you output an image, which gets a quick 16-pass render that takes about 2 seconds to save. Output of a 1 minute test scene as 1920px x 1080px still went fine, and the only watermark was the Lumion logo, which could be easily removed in Photoshop.

It’d be interesting to see a side-by-side comparison of a 1920px Lumion render with a 1920px Vue render, based on an exported OBJ of a Vue landscape.
