Muvizu news

GarageBand Blues (music by Axe), made with Muvizi…

A bit music-video ish — but look at the flawless audio/animation sync. It’s spot-on, to the extent that I should think that broadcasters might consider using it. Love the microphone twirling at the end.

Talking of Muvizu, I hear that the next edition of Muvizu should be out around the end of April 2011! …

“because of the sheer volume of code changes in the guts of the Muvizu app and the core technology, we’re having to extend our testing window to roughly twice what we’d usually expect. All this adds up to a release date of April 26.”

The team have reportedly been working hard to integrate the latest version of Morpheme‘s leading game-engine character-physics. There will also be a 64-bit version, and (oh, the joy!) less jaggies! …

there will be a 64-bit version of Muvizu, so those of you with 64-bit machines will be able to throw as much memory as you fancy at it. Oh, and anyone running Vista or Windows 7 will benefit from smoother renders – so far fewer jagged edges – because of the Direct X 10 and 11 support.

My (now old) GeForce 9600 GT graphics card supports DirectX 10, so I’ll be eager to try that last feature out. It’s likely to be an especially important upgraded feature for people who might want to make Web comics using Muvizu as a stills generator.
